an eight by ten for you

A few months after Eileen's passing, I gave a photo of Eileen in the U.P. woods to each of our families' households. It's an image that I hold dear not only because she is so striking, but also because of the great memories around it. The photo has taken on a different meaning to me since she's gone...her gaze, her eyes, the colors...

The original photo is made up of several exposures, a "poor man's panorama" if you will, and is about three feet wide when it's all laid out. I collated it in photoshop so that it's all one image (instead of several separate photos) but maintained the collage feel of the original. I asked my dear friend Dave E, who is a professional photographer, to help me with all the particulars of color grading and printing. It was a much more daunting task than I had anticipated (lots of quality checks, framing/mounting debacles and shipping challenges) but I'm very pleased with how the finished prints turned out.  I had them mounted to a bamboo substrate and they look beautiful, and hopefully will last over the years without fading.

During that process, Dave and I also prepped and printed the photo into a smaller 8x10 size.  I made several copies, and I would love to offer one to anyone that might be interested.

The only thing I ask is that you make a donation, in whatever amount you feel comfortable with, to the charity of your choice. Those of you who have previously donated to the UCSF fund in Eileen's honor, that counts!...so just let me know if you'd like a print and I'll send one your way.

SO- if you would like one of these 8x10 prints, please contact me at this email: vplow.photo@gmail.com.

Tell me your name and preferred shipping address and I will ship a print out to you. Thank you.
